Hi I am currently having my credentials verified for new york. Unfortunately i am coming across many readings that the situation with new york and having foreign trained nurses hiring isnt that good...

Is there someone out there that actually works in NYC and can maybe give a picture of the situation...

I'm an american citizen with 2 years experience in emergency nursing... i was schooled in Malta and plan on coming to New york next november....

thanks for your help :)

If you don't actually have your visa yet then that's why they won't give you a job.

yes...but for us to have a visa we need to have a job since it is a requirement for our immigration status...

I think this article from last July says it all:

US Labor Market Tough for Filipino Nurses until 2020..CLICK here to read it: https://allnurses.com/nurse-registration/us-labor-market-779683.html

Specializes in CTICU.

No you need to have a sponsor for an EB3. If you already have a priority date, you must have had an employer sponsor it. I assume they didn't want to wait years to get the worker? So if they are backed out, your priority date is relatively useless isn't it?
