You can actually exit in the morning ang re-enter in the afternoon thesame day :)

Has anyone actually tried this and been successful, please let the forum know? Did immigration question you at all, were you allowed through, or no problems?

This would let off bells and whistles to any on the ball, immigration officer.

In and out of Australia a foreigner in a few hours, be careful, anyone watch border patrol!

Its not like there is a country, such as Mexico, a tourist destination close by, that can be a day trip.

Some have gone to New Zealand for a few days, then come back with just a couple of questions of why did they visit New Zealand, as a tourist or did they have family, and were did they go.

Good luck doing it in a few hours,as it is obvious you did nothing but change planes and come back again.

They may check you out for contraband smuggling, then you would have a record of this with DIAC.

Oh. Really? Some people really did this. But i did not hear that they had some problems with this. Well i really do hope people will be cleared on this. What i meant is coming home to the Philippines and going back on thesame day. Although some others did go to New Zealand, some Singapore because of cheap plane tickets. Just so they could exit and re-enter. Its like having a meeting just in another country.

I even have a friend where in his case, the immigration when he landed in Australia wondered why he already had a return ticket just so there would be no problems with the immigrations when its really "unnecessary", i quote that cause that was the term they actually used, he said. They even added: "Since you can always purchase your return ticket when you are in Australia." Well that was in his case, and the ones who told him that he needed to purchase his return ticket prior to leaving was the Airline Company who actually had no business whatsoever with him having a return ticket or not. So when upon arrival, he cancelled his return ticket.

What do you mean by statement of service?

Hi destiny05. I sent you an email.

i'd like to have more insights with regard to purchasing one way/return ticket, which one has really been more acceptable? I know of one who did the BP and she purchased her outgoing ticket when she was already in australia, she went to singapore and came back to australia after a week. as i am unsure whether to visit new zealand, go to singapore or return back to the philippines, i would appreciate if someone who actually finished the BP and returned back could share their experiences. thanks!

so would this mean it is possible that this new one won't offer multiple entry?

They still offer multiple entry for 12mos in this visa, but additional requirements include evidence that you will still come back to your home country.
