Immigration requirements for Australia and New Zealand

for those who recently got their 456 visa can you post a timeline here? and those saying that we no longer need to pass our passport, where did you submit your application? at the VIA Centre or at the Australian Embassy?

got my 456 visa recently. a week after I filed my application at the VIA center, I received the notice to do the medical exam. Medical results came out after a week and was forwarded directly to the embassy. 3 weeks after the results were submitted, I received the visa grant notice.. ;-) No need for visa labeling for the passport..

I need help in filling out form 157a. Would really appreciate an answer. There's a question on item no. 31. When do you intend to depart Australia after completeing your course? Would it be fine if ill put a date 3 mos or 6 mos post course? Would that be acceptable? Or i should i date it right after graduation? Next is item 41. Have you offerred a job when you return home at the completion of yiur course? My answer here is No and the follow up question is What kind of employment will you be seeking on your return to your home country? Can i answer hospital nurse or something like that? 54. Do you, or any other person included in this application, intend to enter a hospital or a health care facility (including nursing home) while in Australia? I answered YES, since its a part of the course to have a hospital placement or rle, right? 55. Do you, or any other person included in this application intend to work as, or study to be, a doctor, dentist, nurse or paramedic during your stay in Australia? Again my answer is YES. Kindly help with this one. Are my answers correct? Thank you so much in advance.

your processing is really fast.. july 5, my medical results were forwarded to the embassy... and up to now, I'm still waiting for my visa..

does anybody know how to followup the visa application? is it ok if I follow up? will it affect my application?

i think it has something to do with the facility applicants went to for medicals. she did hers at nationwide.

I also did mine at nationwide... how can I followup my application

really i thought you did it at st lukes. maybe you can ask your case officer?
