Hi,
I am on F1 visa and enrolling in a master's in health informatics and most of the classes are online. However, I am told I cannot take more than 1 online class. The thing is all the international friends I know never have any problem with taking online classes, I guess the schools don't care to find out.
Has anyone been caught because of taking online classes? Should I ignore and take a risk doing this? Because I must take a lot of mandatory online classes.
Thanks for your advice!
PS: I'm studying at UTHealth in Houston

Why risk it when customs & immigration has been enforcing requirements and risk visa cancellation and deportation? If the classes are online there is no need to be in the US to study full time as that can be competed at a distance.
If your school does not wish to lose the ability to sponsor F1 visas they will likely restrict your opportunity to register for online classes to the visa restriction of one.

if your reason for attending university of Houston is for a visa you will not be getting one.
