Make sure to answer all the questions from your BET.. and If you still haven't informed them regarding your Master's degree, let them know... That will be your edge to be eligible since you have Graduate studies

I finished my BET 2 weeks ago and finally I submitted it to CNO. I personally went there at their office in downtown Toronto. I am hoping that they will grant me some positive results.

To those who have finished their BET and had results, for how long did you have to wait for them to reply? The waiting time is such a killer! Thanks for the responses!

I submitted my BET via courier all the way from the Philippines 1st week of august, they acknowleged the receipt of my BET and additional information August 20. few days after that I updated my address to my Canada address and 1st week of sept, Received decision from CNO to my Canada Home Dated August 31. I'll be leaving the Philippines on Oct 10 and from there will file my application for CRNE examinations for February of nxt year.

Wow that was fast.. How many weeks have you filled up your BET? was it between the 40 days that the CNO asked you to?

Im heading in niagara falls, what I did is I faxed 1st the Option form, since I will still have to request additional documents from respective employers I worked for.. and by that time I am reviewing for my NCLEX exams so I didnt bother to answer 1st. When I have a time to answer it, I try to answer it.. so in total maybe less than 2 weeks, I make sure that I explained clearly the situations and I try to recall what I did when I was working that will prove my competencies as a nurse..

To all who is still filling up their BET, take your time, make it as precise as possible. Just make sure to mail/ fax your option form within 40 days and they will wait for your BET. It's worth anwering. I thought before it was just formality since I have a couple of friends who answered BET with working experience and were not given eligibility. So I was really surprised that indeed it can make you eligible to write for CRNE.

Im here in Toronto. You wont believe how long it took me to finish my BET. I did send the option form and informed them to give me an extension since I was so busy that time doing my courses in George Brown College (did some courses to help me learn the practice of nursing here in Ontario). It was a year, oh yes, a year.. before I finished my BET. But before submitting it, I made sure that they have not closed my appeal.

I will try to call them and ask what is the waiting time for my case. Hopefully it wont take much time.

I guess doing some courses will give you an edge.. =) I reaceived my BET package around May I guess and I submit the option form, I submit the BET August.. since I was still reviewing for my NCLEX at that time. Glad they still reconsider even if it was months before I returned their BET.

I know they will still review your file as long as you submitted the option form. They wont close your file unless you told them to do so. Doing the courses definitely made me more confident to practice here, so I suggest when you arrive here, try to enrol to some courses. :D

no work experience at all because i just had my RN license in the Phil when w moved here in Canada (Toronto). Volunteer works maybe but not that much. I really am praying for the best result they can give me. my YM (Jehosaphat07) let's chat sometimes while waiting fort the result.

Where are you here in Toronto? I am just curious on how long have you been waiting for your BET response..:) I just submitted mine this past week, and I may say that the wait kills me! lol

Yes Im also from the Philippines. Me and Adverse effects are friends already.. Up to now He still havent received anything from the CNO.. There are bulk of applicants they say when he called there. anwei here's my YM/email: [email protected] =)
