Are recruiters a good source for new graduates looking for a FNP position? I'm willing to move anywhere in the U.S. as long as the salary is equivocal to the cost of living wherever I end up. I was just wondering had anyone had any good or bad experiences with recruiters with job placement? Also are their any companies anyone could recommend?

Sha-Sha, if a recruiter contacts me, I always call back just to pick their brain and see what is going on in the field. They usually have a good idea on whether the job market is contracting and expanding and they also can give you a good idea of what the going rate is for new NPs (or any other kind of NP) in different areas of the country. They are only interested in filling the jobs they have contracts for, and they work for the agency, but they have all kinds of info they are willing to share and you have no commitment to them at all. Where I live on the east coast, we often see jobs advertised directly by the agency AND by a recruiting firm. If that's the case, I would always respond directly to the agency to eliminate the middle man. But particularly if you are relocating or if you are not familiar with the NP market in general, there is no harm talking to a recruiter.

Thanks TammyG. I was giving help to the OP of this topic, but your answer have me some good help as well because I'm dealing with a couple of recruiters right now for 2 positions which both will involve relocating and I'm concerned with taking either one because I may be short changed in salary do they can get their finders fee.
