future RN-BSN student needs guidance

Not from your area but IMO isn't GCU an online university?

Just saying I personally think that the clinical classes are more important when asking what school, but still, if its an online school, I do feel like anything would be better, then again some schools are less picky then others... judge schools accordingly!

I'm an RN with the ultimate goal of becoming a NP or CNS in California. I'm in the process of screening these schools for the on-line RN-BSN program. Any suggestions, comments or opinions re: these programs will be greatly appreciated (keeping in mind my long tern goal). Thank you for you time.
1. Azusa Pacific University
2. Mount Saint Mary's College
3. Arizona State University
4. Grand Canyon University

All of those schools have great reputations. I would pick which ever one suits you the best. Have you considered skipping the BSN and doing an RN to MSN program?

FYI GCU is not an online university. They have a real campus and are a real university that has an online program.

To the OP, I've started doing my research into this as well since I just finished my ADN program. In California, many NP programs require you to have an assessment course and a pathophysiology course as pre-reqs. So research the schools you plan on applying to for your Master's to decide which RN-BSN program would meet their needs. I know Azusa Pacific includes these in their curriculum for their BSN (since they require it for THEIR graduate program XD) while CSU Dominguez Hills includes assessment and has patho as an elective. I've been searching Arizona State's website to see if they offer these as electives since they are not part of their standard RN to BSN curriculum, but I can't find the answer and the recruiter I spoke to wasn't giving a clear answer either. I would hate to complete my BSN only to find out a school I wanted to attend needed these classes and i would have to take them elsewhere at an additional cost when I already earned my BSN. So again, research the pre-reqs of your graduate programs BEFORE choosing which RN to BSN program to choose.
