We've all seen it. The lousy portrayals of nurses in the media. They think we are all just beautiful women with fabulous bodies in uniforms. Nurses are more than that. We actually do have awesome lead roles in the healthcare industry. Where would healthcare be today without these leading women....and men too???

Oh, and don't forget about Nurse Jackie. That one was supposed to be realistic. Of course we all snort drugs and boink on the job. Makes up for all those missed lunches.

'Getting On' was icky and squirmy and utterly, totally hilarious. They got really, really close, that's for sure!

And that is the very reason my family has banned me from watching medical based shows. I argue with them .
