Is anyone applying to Yuba College for Spring 2024? Just wanted to start this in case people are going stir-crazy waiting just like me!

I'm also applying. I believe I applied with 82 points. Fingers crossed I get in. Good luck to you all

Just waiting to hear. I was an alternate for fall and didn't get in. Fingers crossed for us!

@lalawekesa how many points did you apply with last semester to become an alternate?

Did they email already? I haven't heard anything yet.

Yes they emailed. I received a rejection email saying that the lowest conditional score accepted was 75 points and I am sure that I applied with 82 points so either there was something wrong on my end or something wrong on theirs.

Thank you! I didn't get an email so I'm guessing I didn't get in either.

Did you check spam folders?!

 

Also - don't quote me on this - but I think Yuba is like a first come first serve. So they go in order of when the applications were submitted. So it's best to submit ASAP and have everything ready once the time hits 8 AM. You guys seemed to have great points. I had 60 and knew my chances weren't likely but I had to try.

Also, it goes to the school email, not your regular email! Butte College sent my results to my normal email.

Received acceptance letter on 10/4. Merit score 90. 30 student cohort size.

Yuba has a merit based application. However you are correct that it is first come first serve when evaluating in line for the same point numbers as other applicants. So its important to submit asap at opening of application period if you are boarder line cut off points to give you a better chance or be an alternative at an earlier number.
