Has anyone else applied for Fall 2021?

I used nursing hub, ATI TEAS smart prep and the nursing school app. But honestly, I just focused on weaknesses and really tried to not just memorize but understand. Math is probably my weakest subject (pathetic, I know.) LOL. If I were you: I would use science with suzanna, and the ATI TEAS prep. It’s expensive but worth it. I also took as many practice tests as possible, and would review weak areas. 

wow 92 on the TEAS is awesome! I was shooting for a 91 so I can qualify for sierras program but I gotta 88, which im still happy about, but I'm tired of waiting to get into a program so I just want to apply to as many as possible! I applied last semester too with 67 points and I was 10 on the alternate list, but didn't make it in:( but my score increased since my TEAS increased, so hopefully I have a better shot! good luck to you all! Im glad everything worked out with your app RN in progress!

Thank you so much!! This time around hopefully we all make it- it’s our time, LOL. Sounds like everything is legit. I just needed to hear from them. I talked to the director and the guy you told me to email. They were great ? so thank you SO much! Btw... I’m a Michael’s mom too! Hehe ?

Oh really!??? ??nice! Mikey for short of course:)That’s nice you were able to apply right away then! I should’ve done that! I got nervous and didn’t know what to do! I got up at midnight and stayed up until 2 trying to apply? I couldn’t apply until 9:30am ughhh  I can’t believe you were at the #1 spot? What did you start at?

Haha YEP!! Mikey for short! ? I started at #5... it was such an upset, I should have retook the TEAS over the Summer to apply for Spring ‘21- but they made it sound so promising, I didn’t think I needed too; my “chances were really high”.. But it’s just one one those things like anything can happen!? Every semester is different. It’s crazy! -  OK so, I definitely learned from the past to get on and apply as soon as it opens,LOL. ... Like, keep hitting refresh ? I was so Confused when I saw the LVN bridge class LOL. ... I just wanted to get through it, and kinda figured it was a glitch. Ugh. You were pretty early in the morning, too ? !!

Michaelsmama, what points are you applying with? My nutrition expired, LOL, (I’m old) ? so I couldn't apply to Sierra ? but I’m closest in distance to yuba! So it works out... IF it works out! LOL.

Welll...I don’t actually know ? I know have at least 72..but I’m not sure I’m getting the 5 extra points for the “special circumstances or family situation” I’m not sure if my financial is still active because I’m not taking any classes anymore and I also have a bachelors degree so I don’t think I qualify. I do get a couple types of aid for being a single mama and low income, but again I don’t know exactly what yuba accepts..the criteria just stated financial aid or cal works. I uploaded a bunch of documents hoping they’ll accept one. So if I get those points I’ll have 77 which would be awesome! But who knows! My nutrition expired too!! LOL I just retook it last semester just in case, but couldn’t apply anyways LOL

That is so awesome! I am so sure they will give you the points!! My BOG fee waiver is from 2019. I would t imagine they could disqualify that since our classes are complete. Ya know? Im Shocked you don’t have enough to apply to Sierra! You retook your TEAS, and got up to 72... that should be enough!! ? either way!

Yea we’ll see! Yea Sierra is really for me..so that would’ve been nice, I got 2 Bs in English and math..and a 3.6 with my sciences so Im barely off..but that’s OK. Yea I’m sure they’re not that picky about the financial aid but I got nervous..I’m sure it’s fine! Well good luck..I guess we’ll find out in March or April!

Hey! I applied as well this application period and was freaking out about the LVN to RN bridge course being on the pre-req page. So they told you you don’t need to go back to change anything? I emailed some people as well and haven’t heard back. I don’t want to go change anything and change my time stamp.

It sounds like it all okay!! ... they know it happened. Did you fill in the boxes?

I decided to say I’m currently enrolled because it wouldn’t let me put N/A except for the first boxes. I didn’t want to act like I already completed the class. I just got a reply and was told all good! I got 74.5 points and also a 92% on the TEAS! I hope we can both get in. I’m just so glad to have figured this out cause I was stressed that I did something wrong.

Wow those are great stats! You won’t have a problem! I’ll probably be on the cusp again, LOL. I really hope we both get in too! ? what time did you apply?
