So im 22 and im tired of not doing anything in my life. I might go to stanbridge but im not sure if i can handle going to school with a bunch of females. Please let me know what you guys and gals think.

Bro, if you haven't started the LVN program yet, then I would recommend you to steer clear. Stanbridge is like 35K or something? Read this topic that I posted, and get your RN instead :

Specializes in Hospice / Ambulatory Clinic.

In my class the males were treated very well by the girls. Of course I personally would give you a hard time ;)

In general male student nurses are well received. 40% of my class was male

Specializes in LTC.

Most of my classmates are female, and I've noticed only one male in my class so far. I don't think there would be a problem with few males in the class. We're all there to learn.

yeah, stanbridge is like 35k. I haven't signed up yet but i was thinking of doing it soon.

haha why would i get a hard time? Im not sure if this is true but i heard that all the students give each other baths while being naked? is that true?

School is just the beginning. If you become a nurse the majority of the people you work with will be women.

In my class the guys were vastly outnumbered, but most of the people in class were great. A few seemed to be surrounded by drama, but you just avoid them when you can. Overall it was a great experience and I made a few life long friends along the way, several of them female. Obtain your goals don't worry about the demographic of the class.

Also as someone else stated, look into a few options for schools 35k is a lot of money. My program was only 5k...

Did you attend Stanbridge after all? I'm planning on attending. i haven't enrolled yet but need to decide before Saturday. Your feedback is truly appreciated. Thank you!:D

I dunno for sure because I haven't started yet but I would just have to guess that students are not bathing each other naked...maybe I'm wrong but I feel like that's probably not happening.

And yes 35K is WAY to much to spend..

If nursing is what you want to do you should do it regardless of your gender.. but it will be mostly females so you would need to make sure you could handle that. Just don't let that stand in your way if it's something you truly want!

Good luck!!!
