Hello, I've been as ADN for 23 years my work has been on a surgical floor for the 1st 8 years, then to the PACU, preop and post op areas of our hospitals sugery area, now I am in the ourpatient section of our new surgery center part of the hospital (no weekends, holidays, or midnight call anymore!!!!!). I'm just completing my BA degree where I was a business major before I went into nursing and had all kinds of extra college hours sitting in limbo for the past 22 years, and now I feel with my past work experience and present BA degree there must be a quicker avenue to travel to obtain my BSN degree through some type of school or internet class... any thoughts or suggestions out there? The research I've done so far there are no cuts or breaks for my experience and BA degree, I must take all required classes and clinicals a new nurse would also take, I realize the schools promote their entire program so they can obtain their complete tuition etc,,, but I feel somewhere there must be a better and quicker way!

I've seen 2nd Bachelor degree programs, I've also seen ADN-BSN bridge programs, but I don't know about a combination of the two.
The EDN-BSN program I went to required the usual pre-requisites (english, history art and the like), which you probably already have. They also required the 'transition to BSN' classes, which were mostly bogus (nursing theory, research, issues in nursing, etc). You probably would only have to take those. Where do you live?
There is a distance learning program for ADN-BSN at the University of Stonybrook http://www.usb.edu I dont know the specifics of it, but I know there are no clinicals!

In Ct the university of Bridgeport offered a RN to BSN that was 10 months.
I don't know if there are still accelerated programs but it is worth checking if you want to go quickly
