Hi again...I was wanting to start a thread about swapping ideas to improve our workplaces. In many hospitals they offer incentives to submit ideas that are cost effective or time saving or improve safety---that kind of thing. At our hospital, we are required to have three ideas aceepted and implemented per employee each year. It's definitely tough. So I'll go first with sharing one of my cost-saving ideas that was implemented:

Many hospitals automatically send out invoices, even if the bill is 100% covered by insurance. My idea was to stop sending invoices to people with a zero balance. It saves time and postage.

Anyone else willing to share great ideas for the workplace?

We get flyers once or twice a week, that don't say much. We keep getting preached to about checking our email, checking the websites, etc. Well those flyers are designed on a computer, so why don't they just email the stuff to start with?
