This is to my old preceptor. YOU WILL NOT BRING ME DOWN!! I know you are trying your hardest and it is crystal clear to everyone, but it is not going to happen. I know you have the power you so dearly want when you are in charge and no matter what crazy assignment you come up with for me, I will still stick with it. I tried to be nice to you..say hi, ask how the family is, and even offer you help when I am done with my work, but oh no, you won't have that. There is no being nice back because that is the person you are. I am sorry for that. All the nice people decided to help me and I did make it, much to your dismay. I know I have to continue to work with you and I also know as I get better, I won't even have to ask for help during crazy times. Just wanted to let you know that nothing is going to breaka my stride, oh no. Thanks for listening.

Will you come work with us on our unit. Instead of using this piece of trash as an easy excuse for negativity and excuses for failling, you're standing proud;) Great job, glad you're in our profession!

Tata- She practically did you a favor by treating you badly; you are stronger and more determined for it (the ultimate revenge). You will also be a kind preceptor when it's your turn. You can learn as much from the bad nurses as from the good ones. Your attitude will take you far in life as well as in nursing. Congrats. It's nice to see a positive rant!

Oh, yeah, had one of those too. Tried also to be nice, to make friendly small talk -- just got back smart mouthed comments back and dirty looks. I've since gived up even looking her way. Come to find out, she's also just the lowest of the low trash after talking w/ a few co-workers. She's actually got a "rep" througout many of the floors on our hospital!

But every single new grad that followed has had the same difficulities lately and now NO ONE will be precepted by her ....and now she's whining about it!!

I'm just waiting for her to leave ...just waiting. I think it's going to happen now anyday. :yeah:
