2 years BSN programs in Portland OR

Published

Hi everyone!

I currently have an associate degree, and have been going to PCC to take the nursing prerequisites. Now that I am finally done with all of them, I came upon a dilemma: my ultimate goal is to become a FNP (family nurse practitioner) or even a PA - if that doesn't work. I have looked into most of the famous nursing programs in Portland, and unfortunately, most of them are 3 years long... Given that I am already in a junior standing academically, would you recommend me to apply to Linfield or University of Portland so I can do 2 more years to save time?

I understand that these two institutions are private, and thus more expensive but is it worth the tuition cost? Also if you were to pick between Linfield and U of P, which one would you go with? By the way, I have also heard of Concordia St, Paul but to be honest, after their Portland Campus was shut down, they appear less reliable to me...
