Hello,

I don't think there is a thread for Yale GEPN applicants for Fall 2025 start, so here it is! Let's share knowledge and cheer each other on! Also, if there is an existing thread, please let me know.

I want to submit my application soon, but I keep re-reading and editing my essays... Anyone else doing the same thing? I have been out of school for almost 10 years, and I'm getting flashbacks to high school/undergrad days!

Additionally, has anyone sent a transcript via Parchment? My transcript should have been received by Oct 21, but on NursingCAS, it says it hasn't received.

Thanks, and I look forward to communicating with you all!

Congratulations! Did you apply for the Feb 1. deadline? My app was pushed back so I'm still waiting.

Thanks! I think I submitted my application around December.

I got in for Adult Gerontology! Just got my acceptance!

Does anyone know how to place the deposit? I did not see a directions for it on the application portal. I'm unfortunately going to be leaving my decision until 11th hour but I want to have everything set in case I decide to accept on Saturday.

Hi!

I recently applied and I was wondering how long it takes for people to hear back decisions after their application I verified? Especially asking those who have applied later in the process!

Thanks!

Just out of curiosity, when did you apply? Congrats!

Hi,

You have to accept the admittance first. Then you will see a link to pay deposit on the front page of application status portal. Just click on it and pay with card (I think it has to be with card)!

I am also waiting to fully accept and pay the deposit, likely until mid-next week... I don't know what will significantly change between now and then, but I am mostly afraid of the large tuition and logistics of moving my entire family there.

What makes you wait to submit your answer?

Thanks!

I applied for the January 1 deadline and heard back January 31. If your application was just verified I assume it will be looked at as part of the March 1 rolling admissions deadline and you'll likely hear back at end of March!

I applied by Dec 31, 2024 however there was a glitch with my application so admission recieved it on Jan 2 instead of the deadline. My application was pushed back for the Feb pool instead. I got the email regarding a decision on Friday.

Thanks! I wanted to know if it is like a check or a credit card or whatever so I can be set. I'm visiting Penn on Friday (and still haven't heard from Columbia LOL) and am still very much so undecided on what is a good fit. The "campus" felt really isolated to me and then how far away clinicals can be IDK. I think we talked at admitted students day LOL

Got it, I hope you have a good time at Penn and hope you hear back from other schools!

I'm sorry I can't remember admitted students day well other than a few snippets... It was all such a blur with so much info! Haha if you decide to go to Yale, maybe we'll be classmates! 🙂

Best,

Can anyone give a brief synopsis of Admitted Student Orientation. Was there any valuable information you would like to share. Thanks
