Yale GEPN Applicants 2013

Hello all! I noticed a thread had not been started for those of us applying for Fall of 2013 so I thought I would start one. How are things going for everything regarding the application process?

Applied and interviewed for Yale's Psych GEPN program this year.

Just got a rejection notice, a day early. Not sure if they're sending out the rejections first.

Bummer! Especially after visiting the campus.

Anyway, best of luck everyone! I have not contributed a lot to this board, but it has been nice to know that others have also been on this journey with me.

Don't distress if you didn't get accepted - I'm 37 with a PhD and remember the sting of rejection and joy of acceptance when I first applied for doctoral programs--it was my heart's desire to go to Berkeley, and I ended up at NYU instead. I promise you, you will end up exactly where you should be, and more opportunities are going to arise that you can't predict. Ten years ago, I would never have imagined that I would have three children, published books, or even consider applying for an NP program! So you never know where life is going to take you - just enjoy the ride and have faith! :)

I'm in for Psych NP! Hey @feminista_siempre - I remember you from the Penn board. I, too, am having a difficult time choosing between Penn and Yale. Although I think the financial aid package is going to sway my decision. How are you going to decide??

In for Psych NP! atomicgirl, I'm in the same boat as you are and am eager to compare the financial aid packages from the different schools. Congrats again to you and to all those accepted! :)
