WSSU ABSN Program

U.S.A. North Carolina

Anyone who has been through the ABSN program at WSSU, what is the total cost of the program? How many credit hours does the program contain? Also- what was your GPA in prerequisites when accepted?

Thanks in advance for any responses.

I just started the program. I'm still not sure what the total costs will be. It was about $3,200 for the spring semester. Only 16 people in the current class were funded by Baptist. The program is 76 credit hours, I believe. My GPA in pre-reqs was a 4.0, but my GPA from undergrad (a decade or so ago) was a 3.2.

What is your current schedule in the program? Do you know how it changes as the program progresses? Are you working in addition to the program? Thanks so much for all your information.

I'm still PRN as a CNA at a local hospital, but I haven't pulled any shifts since starting school. I'm not sure how it will change as the program progresses, but we're told we generally won't have more than two days of clinical each week. Right now I'm in class from 8 to 4 or 5:30 Tuesday through Friday (with at least an hour, often two for lunch). We're off on Thursday afternoon and all day Monday. Some students are working some, but I don't know how much.

Hope this helps. I'm happy to answer questions.
