WSSU ABSN 2014
Do we know for sure Baptist has contacted everyone? I thought it was going to be through the end of the week. Also, was anyone told exactly how many are going to be chosen? And completely off topic, but does anyone know what type of shoes we are required to wear to clinicals? I thought there might be something on sale this weekend. Thanks for everyone's help.

WSSU ABSN 2014
I requested to join the FB group. TB tests are available here, but that is in Mt. Airy, an hour outside of Winston-Salem. What is the ATI fee?

Also- I know last year's group created a Facebook page to stay in touch easier/quicker than checking these boards. Anyone interested?

WSSU ABSN 2014
Hey- have you all received a call from Baptist? I haven't heard anything from them still. Should I be concerned?

WSSU ABSN 2014
Yes, I too would want to know even if I didn't get in. Maybe we will receive something in the mail today. It's possible your name was somehow left off the list. Hope you find out something.

Hali- I'm sorry you are already frustrated. I was watching the mail anxiously too. Did you check other folders in your email? I DID receive an email with all information last week. I wonder if it could have gotten sent to your spam or something automatically. Hope you figure something out!

WSSU ABSN 2014
Congratulations to everyone accepted! I have been accepted as well and am excited about getting the process started. Does anyone know the timeline of hearing from WFBMC, interviewing, and getting a response? It seems like a lot to get done quickly! I mean I hope we definitely have funding questions answered by December. Also- with health insurance- how much is the insurance provided through the University?

WSSU ABSN 2014
Have you considered the program at Queens in Charlotte? It might be closer. I don't know much about it except that they have an ABSN program that is 12 months. I live a little far from Charlotte to consider that. It could possibly be a back-up plan but a long commute. I'm hoping for the best.

WSSU ABSN 2014
Hey! Yes, I too have read the threads of people with high GPAs and A's being rejected. I am currently a middle school science teacher with a BS from Appalachian State University. I like in the W-S area. I do have A's in the prereqs and a great GPA, so I am hoping for the best. I also wish we knew more about the set-up of the program (what schedules would look like, etc). Are you planning to work at all during the program? I hope we at least have a chance at some funding. I wonder if we will be able to apply for any other scholarships. Look forward to hearing more from you!

WSSU ABSN 2014
Anyone applying for the ABSN program at Winston-Salem State University this year? Just wondering if there were others out there who would be in the same boat. Has anyone heard of funding this year? Does anyone know how they rank applicants? Thanks and Good Luck to all!

What is your current schedule in the program? Do you know how it changes as the program progresses? Are you working in addition to the program? Thanks so much for all your information.

WSSU ABSN Program
Anyone who has been through the ABSN program at WSSU, what is the total cost of the program? How many credit hours does the program contain? Also- what was your GPA in prerequisites when accepted? Thanks in advance for any responses.
