Writing a case study

My employer has developed a professional ladder program for 2004. To advance to a higher level, ie clinical nurse 3 or 4 etc; certain criteria must be meet. One requirement is a written case study. Does anyone have some input to get me started on just what to do?

I would just think of an interesting case that you have worked with and take it from there. It will be easier than giving you a scenario that I (or someone else) has worked with because you will be able to relate to it much better.
