Wound Care Certification "WCC" Have you taken it?

I work in a small 45 bed hospital and also am beginning a new job PRN in Home Health. We do not have a wound care nurse and many times we get an order for the wound care nurse to see the patient. Our NM is the one who does the job. I can change a dressing as well as anyone but would like to know more. I was thinking about studying for this test. Have you taken it? How difficult was it? Any particularly good books to study from? Thanks!

I just took the one week course offered by WCEI and the test a month ago. It is a little expensive, but teaches you everything you need to know. I don't think I could have studied enough on my own to pass. It covers all aspects. Most employers will pay for the course. Mine didn't, but now is talking about partially reimbursing me.
