I work in a busy ER. I am therefore exposed to COVID, along with colds and flu, etc. Occupational health states to call and likely be tested if you have a fever, SOB or cough. I had a major headache a few days ago, and now have a tickle in my throat/upper lungs that makes me feel the urge to cough. No fever, no SOB. My 10m old daughter has been coughing as well. I don’t want to risk getting my coworkers sick, but I also don’t want to leave them short staffed when this could very well be a cold. Where do we draw the line in regards to mild symptoms?

We're surveyed every day about symptoms and they take our temps. If you answered honestly, they wouldn't let you inside.
