It's great that you're already thinking ahead about your nursing career! Congrats on your achievements so far.
However, before deciding to pursue a GED, consider the following points:
If you're eager to start your nursing journey, consider taking dual-enrollment classes, where you can earn college credits while still in high school. You could also explore volunteer opportunities or shadowing experiences in healthcare settings.
While getting a GED might allow you to start college earlier, staying in high school and maximizing your academic achievements could set you up for more tremendous success in the long run.
If you're determined to start your nursing education as soon as possible, consider Summer courses or online programs that could give you a head start without sacrificing your high school education.
Very best wishes,
Nurse Beth
