Would a current LVN/LPN mind answering some interview questions?

Published

I have a paper due for my nursing program where I have to conduct an interview with a LVN/LPN of at least 5 years or a RN who began his/her nursing career as a LVN/LPN. It would be AMAZING if I can get a couple questions answered :cat:

1. Where do you currently work and what does it entail?

2. Have you experienced any changes in your career since becoming a nurse?

3. What were the factors that influenced that change? (ex. Social, political, cultural, economic factors)

4. What are your beliefs and values regarding nursing? (ex. Life, death, health, illness)

5. How do you cope when there is conflict in your beliefs and values?

6. What do you like least about your job? Do you believe there needs to be change? If so, how will that change be achieved?

7. What do you like best about your job?

8. What inspired you to be a nurse?

9. Are you where you pictured yourself being as a nurse 5 years ago?

10. Any advice for a new grad nurse?

THANKS!

An interview means talking to a person, not getting answers from people who might not even be nurses. The intention is to get you to see where the questions lead, interact with a person and maybe form a bit of a relationship for future reference.

Call hospitals and nursing homes and see who's available.

Besides, typing out all the answers to your questions is WORK for whoever would do that. Personally, I don't want to write a paper.
