Hi nurses,
I am worried because of what I did to my patient, He has a lacerated wound at his left foot, and as a first aider, inside the ambulance i sprayed a wound dressing film spray (opsite) directly to his open wound, i did that thinking it will help to stop the bleeding but i've read the instructions that it should be for skin or surface wounds only. I know i'm wrong with that.
I am worried on what will happen to my patient, is he ok, are there any complications.
We just sent him to the other hospital and i may not be able to know his status.
Please help, give me some information regarding this spray.
God bless you and thank you

Any "bandaid" isn't effective when sutures are needed. You should always follow package instructions. You do not use on open gaping wounds because it is ineffective and STINGS LIKE CRAZY.
