hi. I have been dismissed from the college of nursing in nyu.
My gpa is 2.7 and i am trying to find another nursing school to transfer to. I was wondering what other nursing schools are good in United States that I can get into. I have not expected this so I am really lost and worried. I don't know what steps I need to go through and what formal documents I need to prepare either. I finished my 2nd year of college and was supposed to start my clinicals; however, since I have received a C- in Microbiology, I have been dismissed from the program. Please help me. I am really desperate and in need of help
p.s: If I go to other state for nursing school, do i get the RN license in that state or can I get the one for NY?

I don't know about most schools, but mine requires a C or better in Micro, so I would suggest retaking that class. I'm assuming many others require the same.

Yes all the cuny and suny schools need at least a c--the higher the better, but don't give up. Why not a community college or private nursing school Like Cochran in yonkers or Beth Israel in Manhattan you can always go on to get your BSN when you finish. You'll still be an RN--anyway you will have to retake that micro

It doesn't matter what state you go to school in. If you got to school in Hawaii you can work in New York. You just have to get your license in NY. You can't get your license in Hawaii or anywhere else and then immediately work in NY. You just have to pass the individual states exam and get licensed.
