Worried about PSB exam for entrance into nursing school

Can anyone assuage my nervousness about this test?

I am 39 and haven't had a biology or chemistry class since my first go 'round in college nearly 20 years ago. I bought two books (Barons and McGraw Hill - Preparing for the Nursing School Entrance Exam) and I am getting through them. The verbal and math are ok...but the science has me freaked out. How in depth on DNA, cell structure, etc...should I expect the test to be? The science area seems so broad that it's hard to study for it, and at the same time, I NEED to study for it because I remember very little of the biology/chemistry.

I am enrolled for an A&P and microbiology class this fall - so I'm hoping to not take the PSB until the middle of the semester or so, so that I can get some of the knowledge needed from these classes.

So really...how bad is it??? Do the books accurately portray what's on the test (because the science section in the McGraw Hill book is large and DETAILED)...or are they just covering all bases.

I'm studying...and studying...and have maybe 2 months before the test...but I'm really nervous about it because it's the first step to nursing school...and at 39 and finally figuring out what I want to do in life...I don't want an entrance exam to stop me from realizing my dream...I know I can do the work (I graduated from college with highest honors), but I need to be able to GET IN first!

Any insight would be so very appreciated. I've been reading the posts for several weeks and you guys are amazing here....

I would like to say good luck first of all I didn't take your type of exam I took the hesi but your school should tell you which subject they actually base their decision on my school told me just English and math the science I still had to take but they don't look at it at all so ask them
