I just finished my ADN and plan on starting my RN-to-BSN program in Jan. of this year. I am really wanting to eventually be able to get into a CRNA program. All of the RN to BSN programs around me are online so I won't actually be on a campus where I could take extra classes like statistics and I will need that at a graduate level to get into the CRNA program I want. If anyone has gone this route and can offer me any advice on how they did it or how I could possibly make it work that would be great. Thanks for your time and sorry for the rambling on.

u r on the perfect path!! more important than where u get ur bsn is where u get ur icu experience so while u r working on ur bsn do everything u can 2 get into an icu internship program or ojt whichever ur hospital requires. because 2yrs of icu (or some equivalent) experience is pretty much a standard entrance requirement to crna programs.
good luck!!!

You are definitely on the right path. I did my RN-BSN through VCU, it was partially online. I will be starting CRNA school full time in the fall.
Things to do:
Get solid ICU experience.( i had 5 years CVICU & 4 years level one trauma ED experience). Do inservices, precept, be involved!!
Take extra statistics, chemistry, organic chem, etc. I did all of these at my local community college.
Get your CCRN or any other certification you can get.
Shadow a CRNA when it is time to apply to school.
You are on your way!
One more thing. You need to get a solid study plan for the GRE. Review geometry, algebra, reading comprehension, etc. Take many, many practice tests. Start studying a couple of months in advance and get a really good score. And remember your grades & transcripts are only one portion of your application. This is coming from a girl who made a D in A&P the first time I took it! Hey, I was 18 and in love
I actually have taken a job in CVICU at Carle hospital here in IL. I also plan on getting my CCRN by the time I apply, also I hope to get certified to teach BLS/ACLS. I am hoping that everything extra and the CVICU experience will help in the long run. My dream is to get accepted into Rush University's program.
