Hello! A little background I am a senior in Nursing school for a Associate's program and going to continue to get my Bachelor's right after online while working in a local hospital. I was looking into nursing careers for the future after I get experience. I was on usajobs.gov and found that they have openings in different countries as a civilian RN in different bases and was wondering if anyone has had any experience working as one of the nurses abroad. I was interested in the ones in South Korea in particular and for now they have three openings in three different places in SK. Are these jobs permanent or for a certain time? What is the living situations like? Is family allowed to visit or do you have a particular vacation time? I was just looking for some input to see if this is something I want to look into more for the future. Thank you!

This information is second hand, but it is my understanding that most of those jobs are given priority to spouses of US active military in the area.
