working with both the ob/gyn (female) and pediatric population in advanced practice

Published

One of my professional clinical goals is to work with both the women and pediatric populations. How often do jobs that incorporate both types of patients available? I think working in a clinic that provides ob/gyn care and pediatric follow up care to their children through their adolescence is a growing field but i'm not sure where to look for such positions. Maybe clinics or hospitals that have women's and children' departments? Anybody have words of widsom for me? Or am i dreaming the impossible and you need to make a choice one or the other? :)

Thanks!

FNP is an option depending on your state. I see all types of patients in my practice.

These include prenatal visits (they are transferred to OB/GYN at 36 weeks in a larger city) and a large number of peds, from newborn to adult.

I also do women's health to include paps and IUD placement and such. I do not do colposcopies.
