Hello All!,
I am currently living in a "suburb" of Atlanta, GA and I am seriously considering moving to Rochester,NY. I am interested in what's it like living there and how is the job market. I am thinking of making the move in June of 2011. What are the opportunities for LPN's and does the rate of pay meet or exceed the cost of living? Where I am living now, a part time job is necessary for you to make ends meet due to the cost of living being above the rate of pay here for LPN's. Im not worried about the winter and all the snow that comes due to me being from Ohio, so driving in the snow and being called in is not a problem for me. Im also not worried about school systems since my son will be out of high school when the move takes place. I am however interested in day to day living, cultural festivals etc. All posts are appreciated.:)
By the way, I am a Long Term Care Nurse currently with 4 years of experience, 5 by the time the move takes place.
