I'm practicing online off Wonderlic and it does explain the break down on the algebra questions but not a complete break down on this one
9$ per adult. Seniors 6$. Capacity 80people. It's full capacity and movie theater has made 675$. How many seniors bought the ticket?
I know it's probably a dumb question to some but I been out of school for awhile and I'm also brushing up on math thank you to whoever can help.

to set it up you would think
(9$ x the number of adult tickets) + (6$ x (total number of tickets sold - number of adult tickets)) = 675$
was the answer given 15?
Thank you can you so written out would be
9$X + 6X-80=675$ ? Sorry I'm brushing up on math and need deep details
9x + 6(80-x) = 675
Lol thank you so much
Actually for the 9x+6(80-x)=675 answer is 65 and the answer for the story problem is 15:(
I have checked my answer as well
If anyone can write it out will be awesome and explain thank you
no .. x is the number of adult tickets sold --- so 80-x is the number of senior tickets sold.
80 - 65 = ?
Omg lol got it thank you!!
you are welcome --- sorry I left out the final step :)
