women's issues?

hey. im taking psychology of women right now (very interesting class i must say) and we have to do this group project. we have to choose an issue dealing with women, then either do community service or a mini-study on that topic. only thing ive thought of so far is violence against women. do any of you have any other suggestions? let me know what you think! thanks!

Battered women is a great idea. Maybe going to a shelter and checking it out.

-comparison of struggles and achievements of women who are head of household in each type of ethnic community..white, black, hispanic, etc

You could see what is the likelihood of income, likelihood of children receiving higher education, likelihood of children who are deliquent..etc

-struggles of women who have their spouse overseas at war and are having to manage a home on their own that would otherwise take 2 people.

-doing something that talks about the role of women in a male dominated division such as patrol or swat--i work at a sheriff's department so i see that there is still a stigma there or some sort of "barrier" in these areas.

...ill think of more later

uuummm...

-maybe something do with women in prison: the likelihood of rehabilitation, repeat offenders, types of crimes committed, social roles while in prison...maybe all compared to their male counterparts
