Womack ER or Cape Fear ER

I currently have offers for both Womack and Cape Fear ERs. If I take Womack I will make A LOT more money ($15/hr more!) but I'm afraid I won't have the trauma exposure that I'm used to. Right now I work in a small ER but due to our location we see a good amount of trauma to be stabilized prior to transfer to the nearest trauma center 40 mins by flight away. I love my job and I love to feel like I actually have made a life or death difference so the thought of dealing with low acuity chronic issues makes me nervous I will end up hating my job if I go with Womack.

If anyone has any experience at either hospitals specifically in the ER I would appreciate any advice! Thanks!!!

Hello I'm thinking of returning, is the pay in the 20's in NC? I don't wanna come back for a low pay rate.

Interested in an update on this post. Recently relocated to Fayetteville and am still commuting to a Level I trauma center in VA where I work in the ED. Can you tell me about the process of applying to Womack? Where did you decide to go? I am looking for Flexi/PRN.

A position at Womack has greater employee benefits than Cape Fear. Also, there is better job security at Womack. I have heard from former Cape Fear employees that if the census is low, they cut the hours of the newer staff first. But I do believe Cape Fear has higher acuity patients.

I'm an LPN in Fayetteville. If you have any experience, you should be making above $21/hr.
