An online BSN program? Especially accelerated? Sounds like a desperate attempt at getting money, to me.
Actually, if you read about the program it does seem like a very legit (although experimental) program. It requires students to progress at a very rapid rate -- 1 credit hour per week, all students progress as a cohort and only 40 are admitted. They use a virtual type online class room for many of the discussions and instructors/advisers are readily available.
There are over 700 clinical hours during the program with most done 1 on 1 with a preceptor chosen and advised by the school. And an intensive 2 week "boot camp" as the 1st set of clinical hours that is conducted (1) on their campus to do skill lab check offs and (2) local hospital with traditional type instructor led clinical rotation. (about 10hrs per day/every day including weekends.)
Not a program for the faint of heart of anyone who is not EXTREMELY self motivated :)

I am planning to apply to the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh online second degree Accelerated BSN program and I wonder how is the program? Also, I just wanted to know if anyone from Connecticut ever applied to the program since CT is not an approved State on their list.
