Evidently, we were supposed to find out decisions a while ago; however, since there is only one person who oversees ABSN admissions, it has gotten backed up.

As a graduate of the ABSN program this past March, I can confirm that this will be your experience for the next 15 months. You will get little to no instruction and be expected to just figure it all out on your own. The quote they gave us on day one was "You bend for us, we don't bend for you!" Good luck everyone!!

Yikes... would you still do the program / was it worth it for you???

I mean it was disorganized and miserable for the entirety of the program but I went from 0 to employed RN in 15 months so it ends up being worth it haha. But out of the 40 people who graduated with me I think every single one would agree it was a terrible experience. If anyone has any questions about any of it, I will be an honest open book!

Oh wow...how was the financial aid packet? Is the program still funded by Wake Forest Baptist?

In terms of financial aid, as a second degree, you aren't eligible for anything except loans through the school/government so I recommend starting to look at private scholarship opportunities. The FELS loan is a decent deal if you plan to stay in the state of NC. It's a $7000 per year loan that is forgivable with years of service as a nurse in NC. $7000 is forgiven with one year of work. And they ended the partnership with Baptist a few years back so we did not have that luxury. They told us at one point that they were trying to get some partnership for the future but we heard nothing else about it and wasn't sure what it was exactly.

I believe it was listed somewhere around $16,000-$17,000 with tuition and other costs if I remember correctly. With textbooks and all the other random stuff that popped up, it definitely ended up being a little more.
sorry for the bombard of questions ? but also how long did it take for your ATT to test for NCLEX to come through after March? @jmc94

Our last final was on March 10th and I was able to take my NCLEX the first week of April. I think the earliest someone in my class was able to take the test was like March 30th.
I been told by the nursing admission specialist that we will get our decisions in the next few days. Hopefully this week I guess!
