Winston-Salem area nurses?

I am still working on prereqs for an accelearted BSN program, but my plan is to relocate when I graduate. I am wondering if there are job opportunities for new grads in the Winston-Salem area (or near by) ?

Definitely! We have Wake Forest University Baptist, which is a teaching as well as Level I Trauma Center for this region. There is also Forsyth Medical Center. Both welcome new grads and I know for sure that Baptist has a new grad program that you will work with a preceptor for several weeks. I believe Forsyth has similar. Both have websites with plenty of information on their nursing occupations. :welcome: to NC and best of luck!

Another great system in the area is Moses Cone Health System in Greensboro (about a half hour from Winston-Salem). I worked there as soon as I got my ADN and their New Grad program is awesome. You get 12 weeks of preceptorship, sometimes a little more if its a specialty floor. You have a whole year of the new graduate classes that are twice a month for the first 6 mos and then once a month the last 6 mos. Its really nice. I just moved to SoCal and wish I could have brought the whole system with me...that kind of support just isn't available for the new graduates in a lot of areas.
