Will switching jobs affect admission to CRNA school?

Hi everyone! I need your input...I recently graduated from a BSN program in May of 2005 and have been working in the ICU of a smaller rural hospital for about a year and a half (I was a nurse extern in the unit for a year prior to graduating). It is a wonderful place to work and I am learning alot, but I may be moving out of state in May. I am planning to apply to CRNA school in the fall of 2006 and I was wondering if you all think that switching jobs that fast would look bad. The last thing I want to do is hurt my chances of getting in. I mean I would have a year of RN experience at the hospital I am at now and, if I move, I am hoping to get a job at a larger teaching hospital, but I will have only worked there for about three months when I apply. I guess I am worried about letters of rec., etc.

Also, do you think that is enough experience? I feel as though many of the people on this site have 4 or more years of experience under their belt when they apply, and I will have about 1 1/2 and I'll be 23-it makes me a little nervous...Any advice would be greatly appreciated!! Thank you :)

I only had about 2 yrs experience. If you are moving it's no big deal. Not like you are job hopping. With that said I hope that you are moving closer to where you want to go to school. Would hate to move now and then move again in a few months once accepted.

As far as letters of recommendation go, just get them filled out ahead of time or ask if it's ok to keep in touch with that person and they can do it later. The forms should be available now from most all schools. If you are only at a place for a few months it may be weird asking for recommendations.
