As of right now I've achieved a B- in anatomy ( my second attempt), as for Micro and Physio i got an A. All of my other pre-req courses range from A's and B's as well. However, doing some research I've realized some schools are making the cut off at a solid B for nursing pre-reqs. I can't help but stress if this B- will damage any chance of me getting in. Has anyone here gotten accepted to a California nursing school with a B- in either pre- req and I'm not talking about community college programs either? any info helps!

They'd have to be extremely daft to reject that. I had to retake it myself. Your GPA is great, you'll be right at the top. I don't live in CA but nursing schools aren't like that. You're a whole package and they don't cut on someone for a B grade. I was accepted in Denver with a couple C grades and my overall GPA is just over 3.5.

It all depends on the program you apply to. Most, if not all of the CSU's are choosing applicants based off a points system. They award so many points for your GPA, some use an overall GPA and some only use certain science classes and other prerequisites. They also award so many points based off of your TEAS score, and then give extra points for previous degree, previous experience, or hardships. Every school is different. If you have a really high TEAS score, you may get away with a slightly lower GPA. I think your grades are fine, but with California nursing schools being so impacted, the competition is fierce! I would just really concentrate on the TEAS! Good luck!
