Will a CNA with a previous back injury looked down upon...

I want to be a nurse! I am a CNA, but have been off work for 2 years because I injured my back, I am doing better though, and I am wondering if they look down upon this when they see a CNA who hurt their back and went through workmans comp!!!

Where I currently work, a strong back is often needed. Of course I pass meds all shift but that hurts just as much. My cart has things scattered everywhere and requires bending down 3 or 4 times per resident searching for meds in the drawers. Also if they get tube feedings and the bed is low I can either a) bend over the bed and feed them or b) bend over and crank the bed to my height and then re-lower when done. Sometimes I may have to run to central supply and get a box of gloves or formula. You would think they would allow me to grab just one box of gloves and not the whole case, but it all must be charged together. Sometimes it is extremely hard finding someone to assist you and if you do find someone, you can't depend on them to do the majority of the lifting. Even as a nurse you lift something and I frown at nurses who think they shouldn't.
