Hi Cardiacnurse3512,
Congratulations! That is awesome! I am very nervous to get started. I just registered for classes last night and I’m going to sign all my paperwork that I got from my advisor tonight. If you haven’t yet you will receive an email from your advisor with a lot of helpful info. Still not enough but more then what you can find anywhere else sinceI it is very hard to find information online about the program. Heck I couldn’t even find the professors on ratemyprofessor, which made me uneasy last night but I’m willing to give it a go and see how it plays out. I was looking for a Facebook group so if you create one please let me know!
Hi nurses!
Congrats on your decision to start your FNP program. I’m new here and new to these forums. I have been accepted to Wilkes FNP program and trying to find Information about it. Not much out there! I have to make my decision soon and I’m a bit anxious. I would like to complete in about 2 years. Is that possible? Do you know what classes are offered when? Do they offer in summer? What helped you guys decide on Wilkes? Have you heard from any alumni on their experience?
There are so many online FNP programs out there, different prices and promises. So hard - want to make sure I make the best choice.
Any info will help. Thanks.
Hi,
It is really hard to find information so honestly I’m taking a leap of faith in Wilkes and the FNP program. According to my class schedule yes they do Summer classes and with a Spring 2020 start I have a planned completion of Spring 2022. Wilkes is competitively priced and within driving distance of my home so that is ultimately why I choose them. I wanted online but easily accessible brick and mortar if needed. They have a good graduation rates and pass rates for the other NP programs and this year will be the first look at FNP scores. Classes are 12 weeks year round with a 4 week break in between each semester so for me this was desirable to have real breaks for life! Let me know if you decide to accept!!

I did it! I have joined the online MSN, FNP program at Wilkes starting this spring (2020) Very excited, it’s been a long time goal of mine. Hopefully we can support each other through it.
If you are on Facebook, feel free to join our class Facebook page! Looking forward to getting to know you all during this journey thru NP school!- Shelby

Hi I just accepted a spot at Wilkes University for their Spring 2020 start in the FNP program. Is there anyone in the program now who can give me more insight? I know the program is fairly new at least the FNP part at Wilkes. The nursing department will be mailing me all my information in November, but I’m anxious and want to see what other students think and recommend! Also anyone else accepted into that class I would love to connect with others who are jumping into this with me!
