I recently talked to the dean of the nursing program at my alma matter Southwest Wisconsin Technical College. She told me that the waiting list for the traditional ADN-RN program is one year. However they also have a part time evening and weekend program designed for people who have to work full time while in nursing school. It takes four years (going part time) and has no waiting list at all. The college is very inexpensive for Wi residents. Anyone who isn't a resident would only have to pay non-resident tuition for the first year (one regular semesters worth) of non-resident tuition and after that you could qualify as a resident.
