Why oh why did I??!!

Nursing Students CNA/MA

Published

Pay $15,000 for a year long medical assisting training program when I could have paid $150 for an 8 week long CNA course. Someone spin this in a positive for me please.

All people should avoid MA programs. The pay is rarely much higher than CNAs depending on where you are and CNA -> Nurse is a much better path than MA -> Nurse.

Plus, you will learn and do much of the stuff that MAs do as a CNA if you work in a hospital. I just can't see MA as a good path into nursing. Especially at 15 thousand dollars.

That's almost as bad as the LPN schools here. All of them 13000 plus when the RN schools here are 5000... Makes no sense.
