Hi everyone,
Im writing an essay for my class about my major (undecided but wanting to go into nursing) and would like to get answers from all of you. BIG THANKS!
Why were you drawn to nursing?
What requirements or skills were needed before entering the field?
Were there any expectation and surprises you had in entering the profession?
What are your responsibilities at your current job?
Where your job fits in terms of the overall structure of the profession?
What are the skills and qualifications you have/The skills and qualifications the job requires
What is the biggest challenges you face in this job
What are the types of reading and writing required in your daily responsibilities
who are the typical audience for written communication (co-workers, clients, general public, ect.)
Which communication skills you find most important in your role.

Do everything for everybody all the time with nothing. Okay- I'm exaggerating: Do everything right the first time with no Education on the Process or at least make it look like I did correctly it in the Documentation Process.

Oh, that's no big deal- if words are mispelled or handwriting is illegible, I figure someone with a Higher Degree than I have wrote it. If that happens, I just fax the Order to Pharmacy.
We don't do ect (electric convulsive therapy). However, we do do et cetera (and so on).
This is the only question that I am going to answer seriously: The communication skill that I find most important in my role as a Professional Caregiver is my ability to be OBJECTIVE. Objective Reporting is necessary in order for all to interpret Information Consensually. (And I feel so good about myself when I can Verbally and Objectively rip an Opponent to shreds!)
