Who Knows anything about Round Rock.

I am considering a travel position in Round Rock? Anyone know anything about facilities in the area. What does this area have to offer a single female in her early 30s. I will be travelling alone and want things to do that are fun and active. Appreciate the help.

Are you kidding?!? You're coming to the right place! What is there to do? Well, Round Rock happens to be a suburb area of Austin - just 20-30 minutes from all the downtown Live Music action. If you're into that. We've had a big influx of music from New Orleans as well. There's also more restuarants per capita than all cities in the US. Music is our thing, but there's lots of other stuff too. Tons of very nice parks and Lake Travis is just a few minutes west of town (not to mention Lake Austin and Town Lake in the city). Hike and Bike trails, many different kinds of festivals (art, cultural, you name it) and have I mentioned Music?!? We also have the Alamo Drafthouse - have dinner while watching the latest blockbuster on the big screen (http://www.alamodrafthouse.com). My absolute favorite place out - we typically go twice a week!

If I don't make it in nursing, I'm going to hit the Chamber of Commerce up for a job! :roll

Round Rock seems to be a nice area.

I was going to say, "What's there to do?" and answer "AUSTIN". lol

My husband lived in Austin for a while, and if we ever move out of the D/FW area, Round Rock, or in Austin would be where he'd want to move back to.

He said Austin was a fun place to live.
