I am looking for stories from individuals who did not get into nursing school and what the reasons, told by the school, were. Does the school every say why you weren't selected? Any stories will be appreciated. I cannot even apply for my schools program until May that starts this Fall. I am just looking for various reasons why one wouldn't get in.

I applied to 3 nursing schools for the spring, and i was rejected from all 3 - well i was placed on the alternate list for 2. 2 were points-based, and one was lottery. The lottery i applied for had almost 1000 applicants for 50 spots - so there ya go. For the other 2 programs, a combination of my 3.58 GPA and my TEAS score (79 . . . bad!) is what prevented me from getting in. So for the upcoming semester i increased my GPA to 3.7 and retook the TEAS and scored a 89.5, so i pray that is enough!! On my letters i received from the colleges, they just listed the number of points i had and my alternate #, no other explanation
