Who has Christmas off/who has to work?

What are you doing workwise this holiday?? We do close on Christmas day unless there is a critical or daily patient. Then the 4 of us split the day before and day after. So I work Christmas eve (probably until 2pm) and have 25th and 26th off. The other gals have 24th and 25th off and come back friday. It works good for us.

I was suppose to be "on call", for Christmas, since I work PACU. Currently, however, I'm out with a back injury and not working in bedside nursing - and no call. They have me working QI, HR copying papers, etc... so I now have Christmas off (although I volunteered to come in if there was work to do) My hubby has to work, so I guess I'll stay home and try to get some housework done - in moderation - if my back starts hurting, so does the cleaning.

I'm working private duty Christmas morning. I had Christmas off last year, so I can deal with it. I will just have my Christmas in the evening instead of the morning, kinda sucks not being able to see my brother and sisters open their presents though.
