My daughter is a Senior in HS, and has applied to six different Universities. So far, she has been accepted to 4 of them (waiting on the other 2.) Now, the question is, which one would be best for her? .... Which one has the best (BSN) Nursing Program?
University of Cincinnati (OH)
Wright State University (OH)
George Mason University (VA)
Marymount University (VA)
Still waiting on Purdue and University of Louisville.
Do any of you know anything about these Nursing Programs??? I mean, her and I looked them over before applying to each of them, but there's no better information than word of mouth.
Personally, I would love for her to go to the University of Cincinnati (UC) or Wright State because she would get in-state tuition, and wouldn't have to live on campus. And, actually, Wright State would be right down the road from where she would be living ... That would be nice!! ... BUT, she really likes UC ... Sooooooooooo!!!
Anyway, any information you can give about any of these Universities would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

I would recommend George Mason over Marymount. Don't know about the others. You can look up the ratings on http://www.usnews.com

USNews rankings are made to sell magazines. I would look up nclex pass rates and cost of attendance.

I think she should make her decision based on cost and go with the school with the most affordable cost of attendance including housing and related expenses. So that basically means going with one of the schools where she'll get in-state tuition rates - or - where she has been offered a generous financial aid package (i.e. scholarships and/or grants not majority loans).
