Which Stethoscope to get?

My mother wants to buy me a stethoscope for my birthday. I realize I do not need anything super high performance being a CNA. She is wondering if it is worthwhile to buy me a good one that I can also use during med school next fall (crosses fingers) or should she just buy something decent? In which case she and I do not know much about this and have no idea what to get. I would certainly not consider paying over 100 until I finish school, but if there is one that is good and will last me and is not too expensive that would be great. If anyone could make suggestions as to what and where to buy I would greatly appreciate it. My only desire is that it be pink!:lol2:

If you were not going onto nursing school, I'd say stick with a cheap one but since you plan on moving on, in the future, if Mom wants to buy one for your birthday, I say go for it and get a better one.

My Littman Classic II I love. It was under $100, and it can be found in PINK! :lol2: Once I graduate I plan on moving up and getting a better Littman.

Word of warning, keep your eye on your scope, they tend to grow legs and walk away, never to be seen again.

Oh you can get a Littman in most scrub stores, some medical supply stores, on line, and in catalogs.

Littmans are great and usually sell for about $70. Pay the extra to get your name engraved..they do sprout legs and run away..never to be seen again. BTW...Good Luck in med school:balloons:
