Which School Should I Attend in Florida

Published

Hello,

I am new to Florida, and I have decided that I want to attend Nursing School. However, I am not very familiar with what Programs are available. I have to finish some pre-reqs still, however I would like to finish them up at the same school that I will be attending. I thought I was set on Miami Dade until I found Broward. I liked that Broward has a hybrid option and that it was close to my house. Then I started researching Broward and found a lot of negative reviews. My main question is are there other schools out there that are a better option? I have been approved for FSFA and definitely need a school that accepts that. I live in South Florida.

Thank you :)

Check the BON pass rates for the NCLEX RN and see which schools you like. Usually a higher pass rate means they prepare their students better to pass the board exam.

Also Broward and Miami Dade College are good cost effective options to obtain an ASN, and later a BSN. If you are willing to fork out some extra money, then consider NOVA, Barry University, FIU, or University of Miami. All these are the schools that are worthy of consideration in the South Florida area, if I remember correctly.

Specializes in NICU.

FGCU for sure if you're willing to move coasts.
